1,700 Patches for a Miami Brand Event: Approved Friday, In Hand Thursday

The agency asked for 3,000 patches. Our pipeline was already full, so we gave them an honest number: 1,500. They needed 1,700, and we made it work with a weekend overtime shift. Mockups were approved on Friday, October 16 at 5 PM, and all 1,700 patches were in the client's hands in Miami on Thursday, October 22, just 4 business days later.

The ask: 3,000 patches and a fixed event date

A New York creative agency contacted us for patches for their client's brand event in Miami. They wanted 3,000 pieces across multiple designs, and the event date couldn't move.

Our floor produces up to 1,000 patches a day, but other orders were already in production. Promising 3,000 would have meant either delaying other clients or missing the event.

An honest number before a yes

We told the agency exactly what we could fit: 1,500 patches. They came back needing 1,700, and we agreed to cover it. It was a number we were confident we could hit without bumping anyone else's order.

FRI

Friday, October 16, 5 PM: all 17 mockups approved

Mockups for all 17 designs, 100 pieces each, were approved late on a Friday afternoon, and the order had to leave our floor on Monday. We scheduled production the same evening, with iron-on backing on every piece.

SUN

Saturday and Sunday: the overtime shift

We paid our team overtime to run the floor through Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18. All 1,700 patches were produced alongside the orders already in progress, then quality-checked and packed before Monday morning.

MON

Shipped Monday, in the client's hands Thursday

The order shipped via UPS on Monday, October 19, and the tracking number went straight to the agency. All 1,700 patches were in the client's hands in Miami on Thursday, October 22: 4 business days after approval, ready for the event.

What this means for your order

  • We tell you our real capacity before you commit, even when the honest number is lower than you hoped.
  • Multi-design orders run together. 17 designs at 100 pieces each is a normal job for us.
  • We promise a dispatch date in writing. If any pieces ship late, those pieces are free. See our rush terms.

Questions about this project

Can a rush order include many different designs?

Yes. This order had 17 designs at 100 pieces each, all approved and produced in one run.

How many patches can you produce per day?

Up to 1,000 patches a day on a normal schedule. How much of that is open depends on what's already in production, so we give you an honest number before you commit.

Why don't you name the client?

Many of our clients, especially agencies working for big brands, need their projects kept private. We share the numbers, timeline and lessons, but never names or logos without permission.

How long does UPS take to Miami?

Major US cities usually take about 4 business days with UPS after dispatch. Use the delivery calculator on our rush page to see your dates.
