The client ordered 20 PVC patches in a long 10″ × 3″ format, 2.5 mm thick, with sew-on backing. The design has a lot going on: a yellow winged emblem with crossed swords, a field of raised blue dots, flowing blue wave lines, a yellow border and the client's brand text.
Why PVC suits a design like this
PVC patches are molded from soft rubber, with each color filled into its own section of the mold. That's what lets fine raised details, like hundreds of small dots, stand out cleanly instead of blending together. PVC is also waterproof and holds its shape. At 2.5 mm thick, a patch this long stays firm and flat once it's sewn on.
